Planning an Entertaining Day Out from College

When my friends and I had free time from college, we decided to go out and have fun. We all agreed on bowling as it was cheap and only 5 minutes away from campus. Unfortunately, we got there when the bowling league teams played, but surprisingly, it wasn’t that busy. We got our lanes and shoes after only being there for 5 minutes. Also, the price was only around $40 for an hour of bowling. 

Bowling at Tangi Lanes

We got started, and they had a wide array of bowling themes for us. My friend and I chose this old classic style theme with funny animations for when you knocked down some pins. We got started and surprisingly did pretty well bowling. None of us have bowled in a while, and we still have pretty good scores. My scores were the highest, getting plenty of strikes and spares. The people bowling next to us were also lovely. They waved us forward, allowing us to go first, and were also pleasant to chat with. 

Arcade

After bowling, we noticed an arcade in Tangi Lanes that looked cool. My friends and I agreed to get a $25 game card to allow us to play these arcade games. We started testing who was stronger in the punching bag machine game. I lost since I went first and was scared of hurting my hand. Next, we went around collecting tickets and some prizes. We even got a couple of jackpots in the games, like Space Invaders and a cool Nerf game, which gave us nearly 500 tickets per jackpot. Afterward, we went to the counter to reap our rewards, and the lady there was lovely to us and even gave us time to look at the number of prizes they had. I got Pokemon cards and candy, while my other friend got a funky keychain and some more candy.

Fun Day

If you or your friends ever end up wanting to kill some time, I wholeheartedly give Tangi Lanes a shining recommendation, as it is the best bowling alley in Tangipahoa parish. With its friendly staff, fun arcade, and low prices, no place around can genuinely beat this.
